Equicell supplies fresh aseptically collected animal blood including Horse Blood and Sheep Blood from stress free donor animals. These blood products are supplied in both bottles and bags for convenient addition to culture media. Other products include a range of blood with various anticoagulants e.g. Citrate, Alsevers, Sodium Oxolate, Heparin and EDTA. Also a range of animal based serum and plasma products are available.

All animal defibrinated blood products used in the manufacture of culture media are supplied within a specified haemoglobin range producing consistency of colour between batches. All animal serum and plasma is deep frozen and can be stored at -20°C for 12 months.

The Equicell container has been selected to best protect and store the product, ensuring the it retains its stability. So keep your animal blood product in its container until you are ready to use it.

Whole blood products should be stored in the Equicell container at temperatures between 4 and 8 degrees Celcius. DO NOT FREEZE. Plasma and serum must be stored FROZEN in the Equicell container at temperatures -20°C or less.
